According to Merriam-Webster, effortlessness is defined as “showing or requiring little or no effort.” Because we believe that small and mid-sized caterers and businesses work hard enough, everything we do aims to reduce work, not just “make it easier.”

TRIP WHEELER
President

A marketer by nature, Trip Wheeler has dedicated his 35-year career to building value-driven partnerships with global brands, generating more than $1B in lifetime sales and sponsorship revenue. Over 25 years in sports marketing, Trip helped Fortune 500 companies expand their brand reach and reach new markets through sports marketing partnerships with major national leagues, including NASCAR, NFL, NBA, MLB, and PGA. His clients included Miller Brewing, Budweiser, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Holiday Inn, Proctor & Gamble, ConAgra, and Gillette. During his tenure, Trip developed and oversaw the rollout of the Gillette Young Guns campaign, the most successful promotion in Gillette’s history.

In 2010, Trip was hired as Chief Marketing Officer for the Formula 1 (F1) Grand Prix of America in New York City.  In 24 months, Trip closed $270M in sponsorships for the planned event.  In 2014, Trip applied his experience in sales, marketing, and relationship management to launch SB Value, a group purchasing organization that helps thousands of food-service companies reduce food and kitchen costs. By leveraging the collective bargaining power of its member businesses, SB Value secures discounted rates from leading food distributor, US Foods, to pass on savings to its members. In 2024, SB Value will report $45M in sales and expects to reach its goal of $100M in annual sales by 2028.

CLINT ELKINS
VP of Sales

As a former professional race car driver and motorsports/event promoter, Clint can directly relate to the events industry. Clint became one of the top motorsports promoters in the country by the age of 35 and this is where his partnership with Trip Wheeler began. Humpy Wheeler (Trip’s father) is arguably the most well known and successful racing promoters in American motorsports history. Clint’s unique ability caught Humpy’s eye and he immediately connected the two.

Clint enjoys coaching his two daughters (Ella & Landry) sports teams as well as spending time with them on his family farm in North Carolina or at the beach. When he isn’t on the farm or at soccer tournament, Clint can usually be found on a golf course some where in the Carolina’s.

MEGHAN ELY

Overseeing SB Value’s Communications Strategies, Meghan Ely combines in-the-trenches event and catering experience with her formal publicity training. Her efforts are regularly honored by the Public Relations Society of America, and more recently, Eventex named her one of the most influential wedding professionals in the US. 

A longtime supporter of hospitality associations, Meghan is the Past President for WIPA and a member of the Allied Council for the National Society of Black Wedding and Event Professionals. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family (which includes 3 cats that enjoy sitting in on SB Value meetings).

ADRIENE MYERS

Adriene Myers, a UNC Chapel Hill alum, brings over 25 years of experience to her role as the National Accounts Manager for SB Value. With a decade of clinical expertise followed by 15 years as an Office Manager, Adriene excelled in delivering top-notch customer service and overseeing a thriving practice with a team of 20 employees.

At SB Value, Adriene's responsibilities entail managing all national accounts, from initial setup to ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction. Her dedication to providing five-star service makes her an invaluable member of the team.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Adriene is a devoted single mother to her two children, both accomplished athletes. Balancing her role as a parent and a career woman, she also enjoys bonding with her family and friends in the kitchen, and the beach is her ultimate happy place.

MANDY KLINK

Mandy Klink, based in Mooresville, NC, serves as the National Accounts Assistant for SB Value. With a background in talent acquisition and a degree from the University of Maryland-College Park, Mandy brings a blend of organizational skills and a knack for client relations to her role.

As the oldest of five children, Mandy thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys the hustle and bustle of managing her two daughters' busy schedules alongside her husband and furry companions. Transitioning from a stay-at-home mom to the workforce, Mandy joined SB Value and plays a pivotal role in onboarding new clients, ensuring a seamless transition to partnering with Account Executives at US Foods. Her dedication extends to maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, guaranteeing smooth order placements and deliveries. Mandy's passion for finding the best deals shines through in her enthusiasm for comparing receipts and securing cost-effective solutions for clients.
